Screen Shots of Magazine Progress

I have been creating my Front Cover, Contents Page and Double Page Spread.

My Front Cover for my music magazine is being created in Adobe Photoshop.
Here is a screen shot of my first take and idea's for my front cover and how it is looking so far.

The image I have chosen to use for my front cover is a side shot of her face and the violin body and bow up close. I have started to position my text around her on the left hand side of the page, using white text against her blue cardigan as this stands out.
I am using a font style of 'Stonehenge' as this looks folky and also quite arty with the use of white text.
Here is a screen shot of my contents page so far, done in QuarkXPress.
I have positioned the boxes where I want text to and also pictures and these are my guidelines for how things are going to be placed and the size of the pictures and text boxes.

This is another screen shot of my contents page but one closer up. So far I have got a rough idea of what colours i'll be using and the font sizes and colours, but these will probabally change as I am not 100% satisfied with it so far.

Here is a screen shot for my double page spread which is also done in QuarkXPress.

I am planning on having the far right hand side of the 2nd page as a review of the week and the rest of the double page spread as an interview and article on my feature artist. So far I have sorted my layout of the page and where the pictures will be positioned and text columns, I am also thinking of having a faded picture with a low opacity in the back ground of the first page to add something different to my double page spread.
Here's another screen shot but further away which shows the layout more clearly.
